I attended the University of South Carolina for my undergraduate and graduate studies and worked in the corporate retail industry for years. However, in my early 20’s, I developed a passion for fitness and encouraging others to live a healthy lifestyle. That passion led me to obtain my certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and work part-time helping clients get fit and stay fit.
It wasn’t until my career took an unexpected detour, that I took a leap of faith and decided to pursue personal training full-time. The transition has been challenging, yet rewarding which is how each one of us feels on our journey towards living a healthier life. I find so much joy in helping someone achieve a fitness goal, break through a barrier, or take a step of faith. I make it my priority to walk on this journey with my clients and not only be there for support and guidance, but lead by example. I’m a firm believer that your perspective and thoughts dictate the life you experience. So I make it a point to help clients shift their thoughts about their relationship with food, exercise and, most importantly, themselves. All experience levels and body types are welcome.
I utilize various techniques to push my clients and keep my workouts fun and challenging. Some of my go-to’s are high intensity interval training, plyometrics, Tabata and strength training.
